BIO.
He goes by the name Edric, a British adult man in his early thirties who has just managed to officially become a pediatric surgeon recently. The hospital where he works at is located by the suburb in southwest London, which is also where he decides to live in following the completion of his residency program also his license and certification release.He spends his time mostly in the hospital. His profession as a surgeon requires him to always be on standby in case there’s a matter of emergency, and every so often he has to do long-shift since the hospital he works at is at a situation where they’re short of staff. They could always use a hand, and as a new recruit who’s got passion for his very first job, Edward is always willing to help out so long it is still within his scope of jurisdiction as a surgeon.Aside from work, during his free time, he would either visit his parents house at Brighton or go on a quick trip to the neighbouring towns all by himself. Or, if he’s too tired, he would just sleep throughout the day. Once every few months, his parents would also come visit his apartement to check upon him, bringing foods or ingredients to cook while they’re at it.
His reason for pursuing medical career is none other than due to his late younger brother’s passing. He suffered an illness, which is a form of cancer called Rabdomyosarcoma, and when his family found out about it, he was at a stage where things were already too late. His brother had gone through surgery, but it only served as a temporary relief, and later, it ended up stripping his life away at the tender age of eight. The moments and memories he exchanged with his brother was like a walk in a garden full of flowers, ever so joyous and beautiful. He loves his younger brother so much, hence it left even a bigger impact to the young Edric when the presence who was so close to heart, even more than his parents, departed from this world. It was hard for him to face the reality, and at that time, he couldn’t help but blame the doctors in charge, for it was the only solace for him to be able to get through life. Later, it rised a tumult within his mind to prove them wrong, to confirm that it was indeed the negligence of the medical’s team that leaded his brother to meet such an end, and that was when he decided to become a pediatric surgeon.Now that he is already one, he has completely understood that a surgeon isn’t a god’s hand. Sometimes, there are moments when all you can do is give up and pray that a miracle will descend upon them, upon those whose life they try so hard to save. His purpose has now changed. To be trusted in handling someone’s life, he shall do his best to save every childrens, so that they can grow into adulthood, which he always wishes he can see from his beloved brother.
